972219_580430665313253_2004222399_nIn 2009 I was working in a law office as the support staff in Fort Smith, Arkansas, I had my Bachelor’s Degree and had felt that this was how my life was going to be. When I was let go of my position and was not able to secure another position, I decided that it was time to refresh my cake decorating skills. I had learned a lot from my Mother and Grandmother when I was growing up, yes it’s true I did pay attention. I started as a hobby baker, now growing into something so much more!

Their skills weren’t as much as I’ve gained today from learning from my favorite cakers (Kerry Vincent, Ginger Soave, Kakes by Karen and Bo Hons)  of which I don’t do fondant cakes mainly for me it’s more expensive than the general public  may understand. I also am a huge fan of Sharon  Zambito  and have ordered her tutorials, I’m not just an at home baker like your average bakery, I’m an on demand baker. What this means is when you call me for a specific baked item it’s baked in tuned to your needs.

I’m originally from NW Iowa and have recently returned to my home area, September 2011, bringing with me my husband, Brian. Every item I bake is made from scratch, no preservatives! I bake with my customers in mind making them my first priority!  Staying true to my own craft and putting those who entrust me to bake them something special is just as important as breathing.

Depending on the season, the popular baking items usually are in full swing. Like in the Fall I bake more pies than cakes, in the Spring it’s more cakes than pies. I love doing wedding cakes, staying within the classical theme to give the Bride and Groom a great tasting cake and a beautiful look to make their special day even more memorable.
